OUR SIGHTS ARE SET ON THE HORIZON

As we end the sailing season of 2024,  the need for supported opportunities for youth to strive, learn, and grow is as great as ever. One sailor at a time, North Coast has been taking on the challenge and developing young people since 2001.

“I started sailing with North Coast when I was 8 years old. I grew up with the program. I started instructing when I was 16 and continued working until I was the one of the Co-Head Instructors this summer at 20. Without the experiences I had with the program, the skills, memories, and friendships I have made, I would be a completely different person today.” - Laura Paulsen, 2018 North Coast Co-Head Instructor

Almost half of our RFR management team are North Coasters. They tackle challenges in the office with the same approach learned under sail. They are independent, self-reliant, and always have an eye on the horizon, helping to create the environment of continuous growth that drives RFR.

As a program, we're also pushing ourselves to reach new horizons. We’re plotting a new course forward and we need the support of our whole community of sailors to do it. Your financial gifts, volunteer time, and ideas have been the wind in our sails over the last 23 years and are critical to sustaining and developing North Coast. We can't wait to hear from you!
