Want to find out what scuba diving is like before deciding to get your PADI Open Water Diver scuba diving certification? During a Discover Scuba® Diving experience, you can try scuba diving for the first time in our pool.
A highly-trained PADI® Professional, Terry Bauer of Superior Adventure Dive Center, will provide scuba gear - Just bring a swimsuit and a towel.
Discover Scuba Diving isn’t a certification, but you can apply what you learned toward a PADI Open Water Diver certification. Ask your instructor, Terry, for more information. Open Water Scuba Diving Certification classes are typically offered after Discover Scuba, if there is enough interest. Youth ClassesDiscover Scuba is a 2 hour intro class with one session.
Youth classes are offered for those 10-17 years old. Tuesday, September 24th 4-6pm Arrive at 3:30pm to complete paperwork $50 for Rec Center Members and $75 for Non-Members

Learn how to use scuba gear and find out if you like scuba diving.

Learn how to use hand signs to communicate connect with the underwater world.

Take your first breaths underwater and decide if you want to be a certified diver.

We close due to weather conditions at the discretion of our staff. If the Rec Center is closed, all programming will be canceled. 24 Hour Access will remain open to the best of our ability. Check our calendar and Facebook for updates. Closures due to weather will also be announced on WDIO TV Channels 10/13. If you would like to get email alerts when we close, you can sign up on their website. We don't want our staff or patrons driving in unsafe conditions and we respect the requests of highway departments to stay off the roads. Thank you for your cooperation!
