2020 Winter Festival Schedule

*Candlelight Ski/Showshoe/Bike

Hosted by Howl Adventure Center

Friday, March 6, 5-8pm

​Bring your own gear or demo ours for free. Onsite trails lit by ice luminaries (but bring your headlamp too!) Warm up by the campfire afterwards and enjoy a beer in the Adventure Club Brewing Taproom.

Fat Tire Bike Mini Tours - CANCELLED

Unfortunately due to degrading ice, conditions are questionable and most likely unsafe by Saturday.  With the rest of the week having consistent temperatures over freezing we are erring on the side of safety and are cancelling the rides for this year. We hope to see you at the Polar Plunge starting at 2pm!

Try winter fat tire biking on the big lake. No experience necessary! Cost includes bike rental, use of helmet, and guided 45 minute bike ride right on Lake Superior. Rides leave every hour on the hour from 10am-2pm.

Poker Run

9am-5:15pm - Start at any of the retail businesses listed below to pick up your poker run score sheet and draw your 1st card. Run around, shop, enjoy a refreshment and draw one poker card at each retail business. Turn in your poker run score sheet at the Creamery Bar between 5pm & 5:30pm for a chance to win! Prizes awarded at 5:35pm. Top 3 poker hands win prize packages valued between $100 - $200 and all other hands are eligible to be drawn for a chance to play poker to win door prizes!

Enjoy a candlelit snowshoe or Nordic ski as we gather to celebrate winter! Warm up in the cozy chalet afterwards with your friends from Landmark and Mt. Ashwabay. Cookies and hot cocoa will be provided. This is a free event and snowshoes are available for use at no charge. If you wish to ski, please note that Nordic skis may be rented at a discounted rate, and headlamps are recommended. ​
