Since the mid 2000's the Bay Area Swim Team (BAST) has quietly practiced out of the Bayfield Rec Center. Through the years BAST has steadily grown, making the sport of competitive swimming accessible to hundreds of local youth. To this day, our Club continues to grow and find success in encouraging young swimmers to refine their stroke, make new friends, and compete at a high level. Swimmers gain confidence through daily coached practices and weekend meets where they put their skills to the test, competing against teams from across Northern Wisconsin. A full season on the Bay Area Team produces confident and resilient youth that are ready to take on challenges in and out of the water. 

Our 2025-2026 season boasted one of the largest BAST teams in recent years, which culminated in a highly successful finish to our season. This recent growth highlights our commitment to providing exceptional swimming opportunities for our local youth.
